Did you know that mosquitoes can transmit many diseases? On World Mosquito Day, we celebrate the power of cross-border collaboration to combat mosquito-borne diseases. A highly skilled team of entomologists (scientists who study mosquitoes) from Thailand and Lao PDR attended a workshop on the latest skills and tools needed to support the region’s goal to eliminate malaria!
The workshop was organized by the Thai Division of Vector-Borne Diseases (DVBD) alongside the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI), led by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and co-implemented with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
